How Clean Is Your Temple?

God declared our spiritual temples as His,
when we decided to follow, being born again.

As we show respect for our Risen Lord and Savior,
it becomes clearer to us how we receive His favor.

God created us solely for His glory,
but showing that, is unique in each story.

Bringing honor to God, our Creator,
will require of us many kinds of labor.

The world has rejected God for many years,
creating their ways and placing others in fear.

The deaths of those who chose to reject Jesus,
created distance from the One, who died to redeem us.

Across the world, God is being ignored,
in the schools, our jobs, and so much more!

Yes! We should honor God, the Creator of all,
for He doesn’t want anyone to perish from the fall.

The fall of man that began with Adam and Eve,
causing them to think they could not be seen.

Oh, but He did see them from before the beginning
and knew they couldn’t escape their purpose for living.

You would think that something so simple,
would be easily seen within our “temples.”

It is not just what we take into each of our bodies,
but what we watch and wear that makes us so “lofty.”

Lofty, in thinking in areas of our pride,
changing just like the ocean tides.

Just as the Lord never changes His position,
He’s working with us to accomplish His mission.

When our temple is filled with unclean things,
God’s work cannot be achieved in what we’ve seen.

Our Heavenly Father has sanctified our spirits,
by not only His Son, Jesus, but the Holy Spirit’s limits.

So be careful believers at what you take in,
because it could very well lead you into sin.

I Corinthians 3:16-17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
