A Savior’s Love So Deep and Wide
Upon the hill where shadows fell,
His love broke through, a sacred spell.
He bore the cross, endured the pain,
that we through Him might life regain.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)
Through desert days and storm-tossed seas,
He whispers still with words of peace.
“Fear not,” He says, “for I am nigh;
My promises stand; they’ll never die.”
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10)
His mission clear: to seek and save,
To ransom souls from sin’s dark grave.
He lights the path with truth so pure,
And gives a love that shall endure.
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. (Luke 19:10)
In Him, all chains of fear are loosed,
Through mercy’s cup, our spirits boost.
No greater love has earth e’er known,
Than Christ’s, who calls us as His own.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. (John 15:13)
Through valleys dark and mountains high,
His presence guides; He hears our cry.
And when the world seems cold and grim,
We find our peace and rest in Him.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
A Prayer- O Lord, our Shepherd, gracious Friend, Your love and mercy never end. Thank You for promises firm and true, For grace that saves and life anew. Keep us beneath Your steadfast care, Guide us in trials, hear our prayer. Help us, O Savior, to boldly proclaim, Your wondrous love and all in Your holy name. Amen.
