From the beginning of time itself,
God has seen the violence of this world.
When Adam and Eve were in the garden,
they disobeyed Him and left brokenhearted.
Upon leaving divine guards to keep them out,
the physical violence began without a doubt.
Cain and Able were the first brothers born,
but soon envy would ensue marking the firstborn.
Yes, Cain had murdered his brother Abel in rage,
and violence had begat violence in that day and age.
Throughout the Old Testament history we read,
how God’s Messianic plan began from a seed.
Prophetic words were given along the way,
giving us a preview of that fateful day.
Even with Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son,
those teaching The Law, didn’t see Him as The One.
They had made accusations that were so severe,
that no matter what He did they would not hear.
They had become so accustomed to ways,
that they resorted to violence to bring dismay.
They rejected Him in everything that gave hints,
and they refused to believe the Messiah was Him.
So much so, that the accusations continued
and soon Jesus knew what He needed to do.
However, it was all a part of God’s plan,
that His Son would be sacrificed as The Lamb.
The Lamb of God who would be the final sacrifice,
leaving free will in place as He gave His Son’s life.
The most brutal, inhumane thing done in their time,
was crucifying someone who had committed a crime.
Jesus had not done anything to deserve this,
yet the crucifixion seemed to satisfy them.
Nailed to a cross, with a crown of thorns on His head,
once He had died, they thought He was still dead.
They soon found out, though, after three days,
Jesus Christs’ body could not be kept in the grave!
The precautions they had taken to ensure His death,
showed how much power was in what they had said.
Though they didn’t succeed to keep Him in the grave,
Jesus Christ will come back for us soon, one day.
This supernatural event didn’t just happen per chance,
but where His body was laid was not seen at a glance.
Not only did Mary and the disciples see Him,
but Jesus had left behind a folded napkin.
A folded napkin signified one thing in their culture:
Their master would be coming back in the near future!
This should be encouraging to His believers today.
Be alert in our spirits, as He could come any day!James 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of Lord draweth nigh.
