The Brokenhearted

Questions seem to be in our minds,
throughout our human lives.

The what ifs and if I had only,
sometimes leaves us sad and lonely.

Remembering, as if it were yesterday.
I can still hear Him, even today.

“My children, who are dear to me,
look in My eyes and you will see.

You’ll never be alone, this I vow,
even when your heart is asking, ‘How?’

When your heart is breaking, Mine breaks too,
for I’ve always wanted the best for you.

Even when your questions seem to exceed,
to the point of what you need.

During this time of mourning over your loss,
know that they are covered by the cross.

The cross that gave us redemption,
through the blood of Christ with salvation.”

Without Jesus, where would we be?
So many people, without Him, have seen.

The unbelievers in this world we live in,
have begun reaping the results of their sin.

However, those that are believers in Christ,
will never face a day alone going through strife.

God has shown us in His Word time and again,
how He is wanting to be more than a friend.

His love, shown throughout the years,
should bring us to our knees and in tears.

From the top of our heads, down to our toes,
the Balm of Gilead will surely flow.

Flowing from the Father’s Throne of Grace,
and that knowing Him is just a taste.

A taste of what is yet to come,|
reigning forever with Jesus, His Son!

Some day soon, we don’t know when,
Jesus, God’s Son, will come again!

Psalm 34:18  The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; And saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

In August of 2022, she became a Poetry author (Living Poems: From the Father's Heart - Inspirational Poems). She also enjoys sharing God's heart through freelance writing, as well. She is also a member of Faithwriters.com. Linda still enjoys the companionship of two pets, Tina (Chihuahua) and Miss Kitty (Tabby). Their grandson (18) plans on finishing high school next year. Linda hopes to put another book together, as the Lord leads, and is hoping to pursue her interests in writing a memoir. Her writings are concentrated on hearing the heart of God, by encouraging other believers and revealing God's heart to all.

  1. You blessed us with your beautiful explanation of our relationship God gives to us in Christ. It is needful for those outside of this relationship to understand their lives are heading to an eternal tragedy of sorrow and regret. Thank you for pointing out both sides of this message.
