The church today needs to refocus their vision,
as some of their deeds are creating division.
A lot of the trends that have so easily beset us,
have become accepted with defeated senses.
The senses that discern the work of the Spirit
gives direction as to whether God is in it.
Unbelievers are looking at the church for His love,
oftentimes not seeing the reflection of God above.
The world needs to visualize God’s love in and through us,
revealing our strong beliefs in His beloved Son, Jesus.
We should be creating a way through God’s Spirit,
clearing the way for all who are willing to hear it.
Revealing the path of Jesus’ Christ’s birth,
while unveiling His purpose and our worth.
Although that miraculous day was years ago,
the world is still wandering with nothing to show.
So many different trends have come and gone,
not understanding what they have done wrong.
Oh that we would give out the light of Jesus,
showing the lost how He really sees us!
Changing minds doesn’t happen overnight,
but only through the blood of Jesus Christ.
In the beginning it looked like we were on the right path,
but now God’s Word is often perceived as His wrath.
The Body of Christ should stand out and up for Jesus,
revealing to others how He really perceives us.
Lord, help us to change the world by Your Holy Spirit,
using us to guide others in the right direction within Him!
Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart O God; And renew a right spirit within me.

Linda thank you for penning these encouraging words. So much truth in them.
Soothing words of acceptance instead of the need for repentance has been a blight on what the church is supposed to proclaim. We are seeing them more and more as compromises are taking place to draw people in. That isn’t compassion as these preachers profess to believe but they are doing a damnable harm to those who will have to face God’s judgement seat.
Telling them the truth because you love them is the only reason for such contacts. Compromising God’s word is as a denial of who He is what He did for us and He will deny these wolves in sheep’s clothing as well.
