The Spirit Of Truth

Jesus frees us from our sin,
and a change begins deep within.

Deep within our very souls,
a new destiny begins to unfold.

We can now see clearly who He is,
knowing there’s more change to begin.

The Plan of Redemption we’d heard about,
was offered to us, through Him without a doubt!

Jesus Christ paid a high cost that sobering day,
but the world thought that He had been put away.

Their perspective of Christ, God’s only Son,
would soon change after three days had come.

Much to their surprise at that time,
they couldn’t believe their very eyes!

The tomb that held Jesus Christ’s body,
was not there even with men guarding.

“He truly was the Messiah!” one exclaimed.
“He was the Son of God, that we had slain!”

Not knowing whether to run or stand in fear,
some still thought that His body was near.

The two women who were the first to see Him,
were elated when He stood before them.

Jesus, then instructed them to tell the others,
Peter, James, and John and their brothers.

Word of mouth spread like a breath of fresh air,
some believed He had risen, but some did not care.

Jesus walked and talked with the disciples that day,
not understanding fully what was on its way.

Before the Son of God, had to go to His home on high,
He instructed them not to leave without receiving what was nigh.

Little did they know what Jesus had planned,
as the Spirit was about to fill the soul of each man.

This same Holy Spirit is received every day,
into each believer that receives Him today.

Jesus knew we could not survive this life without help,
so, when we accept Him as Savior, He comes in to dwell.

Deciding to do this and surrender to Him alone,
let Jesus come in to make His new home.

It is a decision you will never regret my friend,
and He will walk with you until you are with Him.

John 14:16-17  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
