To live a moral life is to follow God’s commands
To love Him with all your heart and soul and mind
To love your neighbor as yourself and do no harm
To seek His kingdom and His righteousness in all you find
(Matthew 22:37-40)
To live a moral life is to obey His holy word
To study it and meditate on it day and night
To hide it in your heart and let it guide your steps
To walk by faith and not by sight
(Joshua 1:8, 2 Corinthians 5:7)
To live a moral life is to trust His grace and mercy
To confess your sins and repent of your ways
To accept His forgiveness and His gift of salvation
To praise Him and thank Him and worship Him always
(Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 John 1:9, Psalm 150:6)
To live a moral life is to share His love and truth
To preach the gospel and make disciples of all nations
To serve the poor and the needy and the oppressed
To be His salt and light and witness to good relations
(Acts 1:8) (Matthew 28:19-20, Matthew 25:40, Matthew 5:13-16)
To live a moral life is to hope for His return
To watch and pray and be ready for that day
To long for His presence and His glory
To be a faithful servant-well done He shall say
(2 Peter 3:12, Matthew 25:21)
To live a moral life is to resist the devil’s schemes
To put on the whole armor of God this is not a game
To fight the good fight of faith in the light and His love
To endure hardship and persecution and suffer for His name
(James 4:7)
To live a moral life is to join His body and be His bride
To fellowship with His people and truly love one another
To pray and worship and serve fully as one body together
To edify and encourage and gently comfort each other
(Ephesians 5:23-32)
“Father, may I live each day in honor of You and Your Word, may I fulfill Your will and purpose in all I do, seek to do, and may I follow and hear Your voice over the ugliness and shrill sounds of evil in this world, may I aspire to grow deeper in my spirit and tune in to Your Spirit and be led by Your grace, Your love and Your standards in moral capacity in all I am, each day of my life, I bow to You and may I be Your vessel in touching others through Your magnificent light and ways, I am Yours, I surrender to You always, Your will be done, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
