Whom Do You Fear?

The world in which we live in today,
has brought destruction in every way.

Destruction that is breaking God’s heart,
lacking the fear that He can impart.

Fear oftentimes will create reverence,
knowing that God is in our presence.

However, when we’re not focused,
deception comes in like locusts!

The “good ole’ USA,” as it’s called,
coerces believers from their call.

Deceiving those that have potential,
refers to those with Christ’s credentials!

The days, when His word was respected,
has since been fading and rejected.

Even the language spoken today,
is commonly profane without delay.

Sincere in who we were made to be,
is lacking in our communities.

Even the schools have taken things out,
what matters the most without a doubt!

What’s going on within our nation?
Has our honor for God vacated?

Our fear for the Creator, Himself,
has been ignored and put on a shelf.

There’s a widespread lack of respect now,
often included in wedding vows!

A contract agreed to, before God,
has been twisted and fate makes it rot!

This brings great heartbreak before the Lord,
especially when His Son implores.

To see what unbelievers have done,
will not go unpunished. No not one.

When they are standing before our God,
they will realize that they were wrong.

Our choices are few and far between.
How many chances do you foresee?

Not one person can foretell their fate,
knowing they’re enraged with their own hate.

Hate that lacks respect for all others,
has no fear. Not even their brothers.

So, you see, fear for our Creator,
reveals wisdom that will not waver.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

In August of 2022, she became a Poetry author (Living Poems: From the Father's Heart - Inspirational Poems). She also enjoys sharing God's heart through freelance writing, as well. She is also a member of Faithwriters.com. Linda still enjoys the companionship of two pets, Tina (Chihuahua) and Miss Kitty (Tabby). Their grandson (18) plans on finishing high school next year. Linda hopes to put another book together, as the Lord leads, and is hoping to pursue her interests in writing a memoir. Her writings are concentrated on hearing the heart of God, by encouraging other believers and revealing God's heart to all.
