There are more people voting around the globe than ever before in history. About half of the world’s population in over 50 countries are holding national elections. There is definitely going to be a big change in global governments. But guess who is really in charge of world leadership? God is! He even established the nations. Acts 17:26 says, “He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on the face of the earth, having determined alotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place…” The world is like a “giant chessboard”to God. He removes and establishes key players. “The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all”(Psalm 103: 19).
Some writers have said that there are no real leaders in the world today. I am inclined to agree. The current void in leadership, along with all of the problems in the world, is making it more prone for people of all nations to welcome with open arms any person who can unify the world and propose solutions to the problems, including peace in the Middle East.
When such a person arrives on the world stage he will be one whom the whole world will marvel at, follow, and even worship. He will have all authority. This is a prophecy of Revelation 13:3-8. Technology, combined with the globalist movement by various select and elite organizations, with the ultimate goal of setting up a one-world government, is already well into the making. If you want to see where the world is headed read all of Revelation 13.
God is allowing or causing all things to happen exactly according to his plan. All of the elected leaders will have plans for their respective countries, and maybe for even the world. “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand”(Proverbs 19:21). In fact, God has already intervened in the United States presidential election by saving the life of Donald Trump, while other leaders of some nations, especially in the Middle East, have died or have been taken out by military means. God is determining who will stay and who will go. God is moving around the players of humanity to accomplish his purposes.
More and more people have been acknowledging that there is maybe a God who is behind all of this. Psalm 115:3 says, “Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases.” God is in sovereign control of the nations and world government. The 2024 global elections will be another piece of his purpose being fulfilled.
How about you? Have you acknowledged God as your Sovereign Savior! Do you believe He can, and is, intervening in the affairs of humanity? He not only has a plan for humanity, but also desires that each person will make a decision to accept Jesus, His only begotten Son in human flesh, who died and rose from the dead, to become their Savior. Do you want to have eternal hope and peace in the midst of this troubled world? Acts 4:12 says, “There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
