Proverbs 29:2 says, “When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.” Although the new leaders are far from perfect, as we all are, this is exactly what has happened in the United States. America has seen the last four years filled with evil, morally debased thinking, and corruption in government. It is like a breath of fresh air to now have leaders who are already turning things around. They are taking the nation back to respect and American pride. People are rejoicing at what has happened.
Regardless of how the opposition thinks, Donald Trump was put in office by God. “It is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another” (Psalm 75:7).
The United States is back to strong leadership and common sense. One example is that Trump signed an executive order declaring that there are only two genders, male and female, the way God created us (Genesis 1:27). However, an executive order should not have been necessary to turn around what has always been a biological fact. It is like a new beginning, politically, morally, and spiritually.
It is a new horizon, not just for America, but also for Israel, who once again has a dependable ally. The result will be positive for the U.S. because the nation that stands behind Israel will be blessed (Genesis 12:3).
There will, hopefully, be a return to law and order, which is part of God’s ordained plan, as summarized in Romans 13:2-4 “Whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good.” Evil got out of hand the last four years because God’s plan for law and order was not supported, like defunding the police. There will be, once again, full support for law enforcement.
There are many other issues that could be discussed, but suffice it to say that the U.S. is returning to how God intended humanity to be. When people rebel against God and his way of doing things, there is chaos and evil. When things are done the way God has intended, there is rejoicing, and one does not have to be in tune with God to know the difference. Even those with no regard for God can see the stark contrast between how things were the previous four years and are now breathing a sigh of relief.
Hopefully, the U.S. will get back to a more spiritual foundation and honoring God. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord…”(Psalm 33:12).
Thank you for this timely article and “Amen” to it. My concern would be the longevity of these good changes. Unless there is revival among God’s people, the changes will be temporary, at best. American born-again Christians need to turn from our apathy, materialism, and worldliness. We need to make Christ preeminent in our lives. Then we need to get involved bringing godliness into our public life.
Amen!
Well said! We know that in this world there will be a pushback by those that are manipulated by the devil to bring havoc for they align themselves with the evil powers that is a destroyer of peace, love, and justice.
May the world take note of the contrast that we are experiencing at this time and see the need for a change in their own heart and mind as they come to understand the truths of God working in the lives of men to do things in a orderly manner that makes sense and displays a prosperous society. Most of all that many will come to know the only way for inward peace and joy which only comes by way of redemption offered through Jesus Christ.
