Wise Men Still Seek Jesus (Chinese/English)

Reading Matthew chapter 2 vs 1-12

阅读马太福音第2章和1-12节

They call me a wise man… well I thought I was.

他们称我为智者…我以为我是。

I am a man of the East, and live in a society that believes in all types of deities.

我是一个东方人，生活在一个信仰各种神灵的社会里。

From my youth, I have been fascinated by the ancient writings. Some of these writings were brought to my country by people that came from Israel. They were brought captive to my country many generations ago after failing their God, whom they call Yahweh.

从年轻时起，我就对古代作品着迷。其中一些作品是由来自以色列的人带到我国的。他们在许多代人之前，在辜负了他们称为耶和华的上帝之后，被掳到我国。

I have heard many stories of great things that these people did; such as Daniel, who survived the whole night in the lions den, Shadrach and his two friends who survived the fiery furnace and Queen Esther, who helped her people survive a devilish plot to destroy them.

我听说过许多关于这些人所做的伟大事情的故事；比如在狮穴中幸存了一整夜的但以理，在烈火窑中幸存的沙得拉和他的两个朋友，以及帮助她的人民在一场邪恶的阴谋中幸存下来的王后以斯帖。

They have sacred writings which they read, which talk of the miracles this God did for them. He opened the Red sea and he provided food for up to two million people for forty years.

他们阅读神圣的著作，讲述神为他们所行的神迹。他辟开了红海，为多达200万人提供了40年的食物。

There is something I don’t understand though… if this God did all this for them, how did they get into such a mess?

但是有些事情我不明白…如果这个上帝为他们做了这一切，他们怎么会陷入这样的困境？

This is a queston to ponder.

这是一个值得思考的问题。

So as I have searched many sacred writings, I have found the Jewish ones of special interest to me. They fascinate me. They talk of a coming Saviour, a MESSIAH.

因此，当我搜索许多神圣的作品时，我发现了我特别感兴趣的犹太作品。它们让我着迷。他们谈论即将到来的救世主，弥赛亚。

These sacred writings have many prophecies, including ones about His birth and even more remarkably about His death.

这些神圣的著作有许多预言，包括关于他的出生，甚至更引人注目的是关于他的死亡。

So my friends and I keep reading and watching. We watch the stars, and when we look at the stars I sit and wonder. How did all this come about… surely a higher power made these.

所以我和我的朋友们继续阅读和观注。我们看星星，当我们看星星的时候，我会坐下来思考。这一切是怎么发生的…肯定是更高的力量创造了这些。

It was at that time, where myself and my friends spotted a new star. This was something we had never seen before, and unusually it started to move westwards.

就在那时，我和我的朋友们发现了一颗新星。这是我们以前从未见过的，而且不寻常的是，它开始向西移动。

We wondered: Was this star to do with the birth of that long promised King in Judea?

我们想知道:这颗星是不是与那个长久以来被许诺的犹太王的诞生有关？

Surely not! After all, the Jews had kings over them and were ruled by the Romans.

肯定不是！毕竟，犹太人是由罗马人统治的。

We saw the star moving. It was calling us, so we decided to set off, and to follow this new bright star, one that was beyond our imagination.

我们看到星星在移动。它在召唤我们，所以我们决定出发，跟随这颗新的、超出我们想象的明亮的星星。

We took food enough for our journey and took three special gifts. After all… we were going to see a King.

我们带了足够旅途所需的食物，还带了三份特别的礼物。毕竟…我们要去见国王。

We took gold, frankincense and myrrh. These gifts were the best we could give.

我们带了黄金、乳香和没药。这些礼物是我们能给的最好的了。

So as we followed the star, we came near Israel. Surely the King would be born in Jerusalem, but the writings had said Bethlehem, but we were guided to Jerusalem. I always wondered why.

当我们跟随那颗星时，我们接近了以色列。国王当然会出生在耶路撒冷，但是书上写的是伯利恒，但是我们被指引到了耶路撒冷。我一直想知道为什么。

There we caused quite a stir. The Jewish authorities were amazed to see us, and we were called before Herod.

我们在那里引起了不小的轰动。犹太当局看见我们很惊讶，我们被叫到希律面前。

Who were we and what were we doing here?

我们是谁，我们在这里做什么？

We told him about the star and sure enough, their so called holy scribes confirmed that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. But they said God hadn’t spoken for four hundred years. Herod and their wise men were perplexed.

我们告诉他关于那颗星的事，果然，他们所谓的圣文士证实了弥赛亚将在伯利恒诞生。但是他们说上帝已经四百年没有说过话了。希律王和他们的智者感到困惑。

They were devious though; Herod told us to go and seek the Child and when we had found Him, come and tell him.

So off we went again and saw the star. What joy! It guided us to where Jesus was. He was there with His mother, He was just an ordinary child, this was the Messiah?

所以我们又去看了那颗星星。多么快乐！它指引我们找到了耶稣。他和他的母亲在那里，他只是一个普通的孩子，这就是弥赛亚？

We did what you do to a king? You honour him, you give him worship. We gave Him our gifts, and He was so excited to get them. His mother was a little overwhelmed by it all… she was so young.

我们做了你对国王做的事？你尊敬他，崇拜他。我们给了他我们的礼物，他收到礼物时非常兴奋。他的母亲对这一切有点不知所措…她太年轻了。

We were just about to set off back to Jerusalem, when we had a dream. There were another prophecy about Herod slaughtering all the infants, God warned us not to go back. Herod was telling us a lie.

我们正要出发回耶路撒冷，这时我们做了一个梦。还有一个预言是关于希律王屠杀了所有的婴儿，上帝警告我们不要回去。希律王在对我们撒谎

We managed to arrive back in our own land safe and sound.

我们设法安然无恙地回到了自己的国土。

We had seen the promised King that God had said would come to save His people. He was just a very young boy, and would grow up like a tender shoot and save all who come to Him in repentance.

我们看到了神应许的王，神曾说过要来拯救他的百姓。他只是一个非常年轻的男孩，会像嫩芽一样成长，拯救所有来找他忏悔的人。

People say that I am wise because I look at the stars, because I read the writings of many religions, but you are only wise, when you seek Christ.

人们说我是智者，因为我观看星象，因为我阅读许多宗教的著作，但你只有在寻求基督的时候才是智慧的。

Christ is the wisdom and power of God. He alone can save you.

基督是神的智慧和能力。只有他能救你。

Let the star that never goes out lead you to Christ. It will lead you right to where He is. You can give Him your treasures. Everything you hold dear, you can give into His hands as you worship Him and come in repentance and faith to the foot of the cross.

让永不熄灭的星星引领你走向基督。它会带你找到他的位置。你可以把你的珍宝给他。当你敬拜祂，带着悔改和信心来到十字架的脚下，你可以把你所珍惜的一切都交在祂的手中。

That little boy, grew into Jesus.

那个小男孩长成了耶稣。

I travelled many miles to see Him.

我走了许多英里去看他。

What will you do to come to Jesus?

为了来到耶稣面前，你会做什么？

What will you give up?

你会放弃什么？

WISE MEN STILL SEEK JESUS

智者仍在寻找耶稣

This Christmas seek Jesus… He is alive and there is salvation in no other.

这个圣诞节寻找耶稣…他还活着，除他之外别无拯救。
