Your Life’s Work -你一生的工作

John 4
约翰福音 4

35 Do you not say, ‘There are yet four months, then comes the harvest’?  Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.
你们不是说到收割的时候还有四个月吗？看哪，我告诉你们，举目向田观看，它们已经发白，可以收割了。

36 Already the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that sower and reaper may rejoice together.
收割的人得工价，积蓄五谷到永生，叫撒种的和收割的一同快乐。

37 For here the saying holds true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’
俗语说：一人撒种，另一人收割，这话是真的。

38 I sent you to reap that for which you did not labour.  Others have laboured, and you have entered into their labour.”
我差你们去收你们所没有劳苦的；别人劳苦，你们进入他们所劳苦的。

YOUR LIFE’S WORK
你一生的工作

Jesus says in the previous verses, that he is doing the work of the Father; he is completing the work God has given him.
耶稣在前面的经文中说，他在做天父的工作；他正在完成上帝交给他的工作。

The work he had to do, was a redemptive work, his death and resurrection, set  the captives free, give sight to the blind and it set at liberty those who were trapped under sin’s penalty.
他必须做的工作，是救赎的工作，他的死和复活，释放了被掳的人，使瞎眼的能看见，并释放了那些被困在罪的惩罚下的人。

Here in verses 35-38, is your life’s work, Jesus has completed his, and he has fulfilled all that the Father had given him to do.
在35-38节，这是你一生的工作，耶稣已经完成了他的工作，他已经完成了父交给他的一切。

So what has the Lord given you to do?
那么上帝让你做什么呢？

These verses give us the answer:
这些经文给了我们答案：

We are to look up – Lift our eyes.
我们要向上看——抬起我们的眼睛。

What have you got your eyes on?  Is it things in the world?
你的眼睛注目的是什么？是世界上的事物吗？

Before we can see the harvest field, we are to take our eyes off everything and completely focus on that one thing.  Jesus was focused on his task, are we?
在我们看到收获的田地之前，我们要把我们的目光从所有的事情上移开，完全专注于那件事。耶稣专注于他的任务，我们呢？

We are to labor
我们要劳动

Harvesting is back breaking work, it is difficult, and it means we sweat and toil.  The harvest does not harvest itself, it takes time and resources.
收割是一项累人的工作，它很辛苦，而且意味着我们的汗水和辛劳。庄稼并不会自己收割，它需要花时间和资源。

Are we prepared to labour hard for the Lord?
我们准备好为主努力工作了吗？

This is your life’s work, lift your eyes and see the harvest, the harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few.
这是你一生的工作，举目看庄稼，庄稼很多，做工的人很少。

You know People won’t come to your church, if you don’t invite them, they need to hear the gospel, and you need to tell them.
如果你不邀请他们，你知道人们不会来你的教堂，他们需要听到福音，你需要告诉他们。

The harvest is plentiful, are you prepared to lift your eyes from the things of the world and labour for your lord.
庄稼很多，你准备好放下世间的事务，为你的主劳动了吗？
