The Romans Road to Salvation
This is a simple explanation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how it can be applied to your life today and for all eternity.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
This means we are all guilty before God and must face Him on Judgment Day.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
This tells us that the punishment for sin is death, but there is good news. Jesus Christ paid our penalty and offers us this free gift.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Here we are told that Christ paid this penalty by dying for us on the cross at Calvary.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
This is a promise that whoever will cry out to the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved from destruction.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Finally, this is an opportunity to confess your heartfelt belief that Jesus Christ died for you, loves you, and wants you to be a part of his eternal kingdom. Just say what’s on your heart, but if you need a little help, just say something like this:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know I’m a sinner and need your saving grace. I believe you love me and died on the cross for my sins. Please come into my heart and make me a new creation. Thank you Lord for saving me. Amen.
